Google to Buy YouTube Rumor

The WSJ (Subscription) picked up the rumor that Google is in talks to buy Youtube for $1.6 Billion from the blog TechCrunch. WSJ is apparently loosing it's being first to report touch.

Anyway TechCrunch is giving it a 40% likelihood that this rumor becomes true.

I still stick to my opinion that YouTube is not worth buying - especially not for 1.6 billion. See this article on the rise of mySpace video sharing to the top. There is also new update on the Intel buying Nvidia rumor from yesterday.
