The Xploder HDTV player lets you view Sony PS2 games in higher resolutions. The software is now shipping in the United States for about $39.99.
The Xploder HDTV player switches the Sony PS2 to progressive video output and thus has more lines available as output. You need to load the Xploder HDTV Player software disc, select your resolution settings from 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080i or select on from various VGA modes, and then put in the game disc to play. It is supposed to work with most Playstation 2 games.
That there are still hidden gems inside the PS2 I already learned while testing the 3D shutter glasses from Splitfish for the Sony PS2.
The HDTV player was already shipping in Europe for a while.
The packaged includes: Component RGB Cable to link your PlayStation 2 to the HDTV.
