Pretty much over the weekend the German Telekom (you may know them as T-Mobile in the US) got a new boss. René Obermann replaces Kai-Uwe Ricke.
Rene Obermann led the T-Mobile business unit until now. The biggest problems for the Telekom are its landline business. They loose 150,000 customers per month in Germany right now. That and of course the stock value is in the dumpster.
I am a Telekom customer myself, because there is no competition in the area I am. The Telekom promises since months to roll-out 16Mbps DSL speeds here, but it is just not happening. So maybe Mr. Obermann can fix this and make me a happy customer.
More details in this Telekom press release.
