Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates killed my last motivation to update to Vista anytime soon. Now that Windows XP anyway stays around until 2010, this is maybe for the best.
Bill Gates said this week at the Inter-American Development Bank, that Windows 7 would be ready sometime in the next year according to CNET.
Last summer when the some details about Windows 7 leaked the release scheduled called for a 2010 release.
Such statements, true or false, are just going to hurt Vista sales. I do not think MS will be ready with a Windows 7 next year. Just remember the launch delays with Vista.
Bill Gates is apparently "super-enthused" about Windows 7.
