Nintendo says that they sold 50,000 Wii consoles within the first 12 hours of the launch in the UK. That means that one Wii sold every second.
The Wii is sold out in the UK and I guess also anywhere else in Europe. In an article on Gamesindustry.biz the Game Group CEO (site) says that they expect more Wii shipment next week. Not sure if she then means this week. Anyway, it is not confirmed by Nintendo.See this list of stores that offer the Nintendo Wii here. Of course Amazon UK also offers it.
