Toshiba announces two new HDD and DVD recorder under its VARDIA sub-brand in Japan.
The Toshiba VARDIA RD-S600 (600GB HDD) and RD-S300 (300GB HDD) can record the Japanese HD TV format Hi-Vision. Both can record two programs at the same time. You can store 78 hours of video on the RD-S600 and 39 hours on the RD-S300.
Both new digital video recorders will go on sale on February 28th in Japan. No pricing information available.
