The Wastecan i-Master Wesco is a trash can that is “intelligent,” not in the it will beat you at chess type of way, but the can will open the lid for you without you having to even step on a lever. An infrared-sensor shoots from the top of the can and detects your hand as you get close to the opening.Once detected the can opens itself for you to toss away your trash. I wonder how fast it opens, I am thinking waiting for your trash can to open for a fraction of a second will feel very similar to the way it feel while waiting for Windows to boot. You know what I mean where a second feels like an hour. This can is seriously expensive as well at about $430. For that kind of price, it had better take the trash out to the curb too.
