You could win a director’s job on a £1m feature film on Myspace, a populate networking website. Directors, Anthony Minghella and Kevin Macdonald, experts and site users will select a winner based on short films submitted to MySpace. In addition, Myspace users will participate in the script and can audition for roles in the movie, scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2008 – while Film4 and Vertigo, Production patners, will develop the project.

Film4 executive Peter Carlton told Variety magazine: "Until you know what sort of director you're going to get, it's difficult to know if a British thriller or an improvised comedy would be more appropriate."The MyMovie MashUp project is open to UK residents from experienced to the novice alike and launches on Wednesday.
