Helio Announces their Newest Phone Called Ocean

Helio announced a new smart phone today that looks really slick. The phone is called the Ocean and it uses a dual-sliding form factor. Sliding out of the phone is a QWERTY keyboard o the side and the number pad for dialing calls slides out of the bottom.

All sorts of cool features are packed into the phone from GPS with Google Maps, unlimited 3G web access and the Helio music store. The screen auto adjusts from portrait to landscape mode as well. This sounds like a really cool smart phone that is even pretty cheap at $295 with a 2-year contract sometime this spring. I’m not sure what OS this thing runs, but it works with POP/IMAP email accounts as well and has a 2 mega pixel camera. Talk time is up to 5.1 hours and the Ocean measures in at 4.33 x 2.20 x .86 inches. Story and image via Sci Fi Tech.
