The first rumors about the 8-core Mac Pro Workstation appeared last October. Now you can get your hands on this power machine from Apple.
If you select two 3.0GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon “Clovertown” processors, 16GB of RAM and leave the other options on the basic configuration (250GB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB) then the 8-Core Mac Pro costs you $8,496.00.
The Ueber Mac is extensible and highly configurable. Besides going up to 16GB of RAM you also can go up to 3TB of Hard-disc space.
I can imagine that Photoshop is pretty snappy on this machine.
