Roku HD1000 High-Definition Digital Media Player goes on Sale in October

We reported about Roku the new company by the ReplayTV founders couple weeks ago. Amazon.com now lists the Roku HD1000 for pre-order. Shipping starts October 27th. Current price is $499.

The HD1000 can play slideshows, video or music files from its four built-in memory card slots, or play files streamed from a computer via an Ethernet network connection on HDTVs.
