Tesla Motors had to revise the range of their $100,000 electric car from 250 miles down to about 200 miles.
Tesla sent out a media brief and informed the first customers of the change. The new lower range was the result of the latest testing of a validation prototype.The official range for the Tesla Roadster is not available yet. There are about 380 customers who made a down payment to own the first Tesla cars.
