New I4U News Site Design Launched

We started to roll-out today a new more streamlined design on I4U NEWS.

The focus for the redesign was to provide better access to our content. The homepage features now a magazine/portal style layout that gives you a quicker way to see what is new on I4U above the fold.

Let me give you a quick overview on what is new:
On top of the homepage you see now the most interesting story of the moment. Below are the 10 latest stories on the site. Under that list you find the Tech News Ticker. The Tech News ticker provides you with stories that feature coverage, reviews from other sites as well as noteworthy news that we just point you too.

On the new homepage you also find now the latest stories from our main news categories (middle column). This way you see right away if there is a new story in a topic that you follow. In the context of categories, I like to mention our new Cars & Vehicles category.

On the article pages we changed the layout to better integrate the links to the related content. To get you right to the story content we moved now the images to the right. We also increased the default font size to make the articles easier to read. Changing the font-size is now also better supported.

On the technical side we also made progress and switch now to a full blown CSS layout that is rendering and loading much faster.

I hope you enjoy our new layout and we are would like to get your feedback. Also if you have any suggestions or found a bug please email me.

The rollout of the new layout is not complete yet and some sections still have the former look. We continue the next days to fully rollout the new design.
