Educational toy maker LeapFrog Enterprises introduces the Leapster Kids portable Game Console.
The Leapster is aimed at giving parents an alternative to Nintendo GameBoy, is a device that plays educational games and interactive videos.
LeapFrog's product launch was held at Toys R Us in New York City's Times Square and as part of the arrangement the retailer gets exclusive rights to sell Leapsters for 10 to 14 days, a store spokeswoman said. (Full Press-Release).
Amazon.com gives a November 5th shipping date for the Leapster.
Amazon.com sells the Leapfrog Leapster for $79.99 (MSRP: $89.99).
