Tesla Motors revealed some details about their future electric sedan codename WhiteStar.
Tesla Motors raised the coolness factor for electrical cars by 1,000% when the company introduced the Tesla Roadster. The electrical car is so hot that Tesla can afford to raise the price from $92,000 to $98,000 starting June 15th. If you still want a Tesla Roadster for $92k you need to reserve one now.
Tesla Motors works on a new electric car for the family. The WhiteStar is supposed to come in two versions. One will sell for $50,000 and the premium model sells for $65,000.
The production of the Tesla Sedan will start in 2009. The sedan is currently in the concept design phase.
Tesla Motors just filled its pockets by raising $45 million in venture funding from Technology Partners and Elon Musk, who is also chairman of the board. Overall Tesla Motors raised $105 million to date from VCs like Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Vantage Point Ventures.
