Smartparts announced today their 15-inch digital picture frame. This thing is massive compared to the normal 7” or 8” digital frames, and even the 10.4” frame I reviewed from Axion a while back.
The Smartparts frame has enough memory onboard to store up to 2000 photos. A SD card reader built into the side of the frame to allow for easy loading of images. The frame will automatically display the images on an SD card on screen as well.
Software called OptiPix Pro is included that finds, optimizes, and transfers pictures from your hard drive to the frame in three steps. The 15” screen has a resolution of 1024 x 768 with 24-bit color allowing it to display 16.7 million colors.
A built-in MP3 player allows you to listen to music as you view your images as well. The frame is made of solid birch and a remote control is included. "Our new 15-inch frame is among the largest and most versatile digital frames available," explained Stefan Guelpen, Smartparts co-founder and president. "It's the ideal gift for Father's Day. Dad can sit in his most comfortable chair and watch family photos on the frame while it plays his favorite song." No word on pricing at this time, but the frame is available now. Via Smartparts
