Denon Introduces New PC Programmable Universal Remote

Those looking for an alternative to the Harmony line of universal remotes form Logitech will be glad to hear there is one more option now available, this time form home theater giant Denon.

Denon’s new remote will do all the things you are used to with other high-end universal remotes, and if you purchase the optional base station the RC-7000CI will work through walls, all around the home thanks to RF control.

It seems that the Denon unit is code based, unlike the Harmony remote I tested here previously which you don't have to enter codes into; the software sets everything up for you. The remote itself lists for $299 and the RF base goes for an additional $199. That makes it significantly more expensive than the Logitech Harmony 890 I reviewed that used RF as well. Via Crave
