The Canon mega release day continues with the new Canon SD870 IS compact point and shoot camera (pre-order). Canon announced today already the Canon 40D, Canon G9 and Canon SD950 IS.
The Canon SD870 IS features a 8.0MP resolution, 3.8x wide-angle optical zoom with optical image stabilization, a DIGIC III processor, advanced Face Detection Technology and 3 inch preview screen.
Canon offers the SD870 IS in black or sliver. Bundled accessories include: a rechargeable battery pack, battery charger, 32MB MMC memory card, and software as well as USB interface cable, AV interface cables and wrist strap.
The Canon SD870 IS is selling for $399.99 in September. Amazon.com has the SD870 IS already available for pre-order. The shipping date given though is October 15th.
