Sony announced the BRX-A250 Hi-vision Tuner and HDD digital recorder box and the BRX-NT1 IPTV box.

These new devices work seamlessly with the new Sony Bravia X7000, V3000, V5000, W5000, X5050 and X5000.

Sony Bravia users get video on demand with the BRX-NT1. With the BRX-A250 they get an additional TV tuner and the ability to record shows onto a 250GB HDD. The Sony BRX-A250 and the Network TV box BRX-NT1 will start shipping in November in Japan. There is no information available at this point as to whether or not Sony will release these new devices outside of Japan.
