Nokia announces the new Nokia 6301 UMA mobile phone.

You can seamlessly use voice and data services across GSM cellular and WLAN networks via Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology with the 6031.

The Nokia 6301 weighs 93g and is less than 13.1mm thick. A 2 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom and full screen viewfinder is available in the 6301. Other features of the Nokia 6301 UMA phone include: USB/PC Synchronization, microSD slot, 30MB internal memory, MP3 player, FM radio, hands-free speaker and 2 inch QVGA screen.

The Nokia 6301 comes with a desk stand, the Nokia Desk Stand DT-23, to hold the phone and keep its battery charged while connected to WLAN.

Orange in France will be one of the first operators to offer the Nokia 6301, as part of its Unik/Unique portfolio. The Nokia 6301 is expected to begin shipping to select markets in Europe during the fourth quarter of 2007 with an estimated retail price of 230 euros (~$320) before subsidies or taxes.
