Fashion label Armani will launch a mobile phone today. The phone will be revealed at their Giorgio Armani womenswear for spring and summer 2008 runway show at the fashion week in Milan, Italy.
Update:
Giorgio Armani Samsung Phone announced
Reports appeared a couple days ago that Armani partnered with Samsung to offer a touch screen mobile phone. The mobile phone in question is the highly attractive Samsung SGH-P520.The Samsung SGH-P520 measures only 8.9mm in thickness and features Wi-Fi and a 3MP camera. It runs the cool CROIX user interface like the Samsung F700.
The information about the Samsung Armani phone was leaked at a Dutch distribution event reports CNET.
Prada already offers a touchscreen mobile phone made by LG. It was only a matter of time till other luxury fashion brands would follow.
So maybe next year will be the year for technology news sites to actually start visiting the fashion week in Milan to cover the cool new gadgets the fashion labels are introducing. Naomi Campell and Giselle Bundchen would make great gadget models.
