Asus eee PC Update

Jonathan Tsang, president for sales and marketing at Asustek Computer revealed in an interview with Taiwanese tech news site Digitimes some more details about the highly anticipated Asus eee PC launch.

Update:
Asus details eee PC line-up

The Asus eee PC will not be cheaper than $200 as that is the price that is only available to contract purchases.
The Asus eee PC starts shipping in Taiwan on October 16th.In the U.S. Best Buy and Newegg are supposed to start shipping the Asus eee PC at the end of this month. Neither of the two retailers are listing the Asus eee PC yet. I am not sure if that means that the small stores that already offered the Asus eee PC for pre-order will actually be able get inventory, if Asustek apparently only is working with the above retailers.
More details on Digitimes. More details about the Asus eee PC in this early report.
