TYZX’s PersonTrack 3D Vision System for surveillance sounds like something you would see on TV tracking a thief across the floor of a casino. The system is real however, and designed to track people and moving objects across a precise floor plan or grid.

The system can track objects in environments that are crowded and have uneven lighting. The system uses TYZX G2 cameras that can perceive the world in 3D and transform 2D images into structured 3D locations of people in real time.

"Our advances in distributed 3D vision technology, along with advances in embedded processing and CMOS imagers, now make it practical to deploy robust 3D solutions where before only 2D systems were available," said Ron Buck, CEO of TYZX. "Organizations as varied as retail, airports, train stations, museums and government agencies can now take advantage of robust, real-time person tracking systems without overwhelming their budgets."
