Orange and Apple have finalized the iPhone deal and the iPhone will be available on November 29th. Because of a French law that forbids locked mobile phones Orange will also be selling an unlocked iPhone.
There is no pricing information available yet for the unlocked iPhone.
The locked iPhone from Orange sells for 399 Euro.
It is interesting how Apple is handling this on the software side. As you know Apple is fighting back and forth with hackers who unlock the iPhone. Currently the hackers have the advantage again.
A genuine unlocked iPhone would be ideal. If the price is right we might find ourselves importing unlocked iPhones from France.
