i-mate launched in the Americas with its line of Ultimate Windows Mobile Devices. Ultimate models that will be available include the Ultimate 6150, 8150 (pictured), 8502, and 9502. Windows Mobile 6 powers all phones in the Ultimate range.

"This is the official launch of our Ultimate range in the Americas and a huge milestone for i-mate that further solidifies our leadership position in the global smartphone market," stated Jim Morrison, i-mate's CEO and founder. "The Ultimate range of devices combines unbeatable performance with sleek design that will appeal to both business users and gadget-lovers who want to choose a device based on their business and personal requirements-we offer unlocked freedom and flexibility so they are not restricted to operator available options. In addition, our devices ship with our i-Q Services platform, which delivers individual device customization, personal device management with enhanced security, and provides an out of the box experience that is unmatched in the industry. The Ultimate range will also be upgradeable to support Microsoft's System Center Mobile Device Manager, announced today, enabling our business customers to better secure and manage their Windows Mobile devices."

The phones features vary by model and include 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM, quad-band GSM/EDGE, Tri-Band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA, 2MP or 3MP cameras, GPS, WiFi 802.11b/g/e/I, Bluetooth 2.0, LCD touchscreen's and microSD card slots. Other features like XGA direct Video out, which allows users to present Microsoft Office applications on a second display like a laptop. The 8502 and 9502 feature GPS and Windows Live Search. The Ultimate 6150 and 8150 phone are available now for $695 and $725 respectively.
