The highly anticipated dual HD format player Samsung BD-UP5000 is available for pre-order on Amazon.com now.
Amazon offers the Samsung BD-UP5000 for $799.99. This ia a very good price. One slight disappointment though, is the January 15th 2008 shipping date.
Samsung announced the hybrid HD-DVD and Blu-ray player back in April. LG led this segment with the introduction of the LG BH100 in January of this year.
LG has since announced the LG BH200 hybrid HD disc player, which is also available on Amazon.com, but for $999.99 (right now not in stock).
The Samsung BD-UP5000 supports full HDi and BD-J interactivity from HD DVD and Blu-ray formats. With HQV and Full HD+1080p this player provides great image reproduction.
More details on Amazon.com.
