The Nikkei Electronics Breakdown Team is at it again. After opening up the new Sony OLED TV they are now lifting the secret insides of the Hitachi Wooo UT series ultra thin LCD TV. Hitachi introduced the cool 35mm thick LCD TVs in October.
The Hitachi Wooo UT LCD TV is only 35mm thick. To achieve this slim appearance Hitachi put the Tuner component in a separate box.
Right now only the 32 inch Hitachi Wooo UT LCD TV is on the market in Japan. Larger models of this extremely thin LCD TV will come early next year.
