The software update could very well be the killer application the Apple TV needs to fix the languishing sales of the device. However, Apple will need better movies if it’s to really work well.
Last I looked, the movies Apple was considering new releases in its rental service were old films. Give me real new releases every Tuesday like my local movie store Apple and you have a new customer that has never been interested in your iTunes store before.
