Magellan Adds Three New GPS Units In Europe

Magellan announced a trio of new GPS devices for Europe today called the RoadMate 1400 series. These GPS units were first announced at CES 2008 and are only now launching in Europe.

The 1400 series has 4.3-inch LCD touch screens, new designs for map and menu screens and a more intuitive user interface. The 1400 entry level model comes with NAVTEQ maps for Great Britain, Ireland, and Northern Ireland.

The 1415 adds text-to speech and full European map coverage for 229 euros. The 1425 adds live traffic and a lifetime traffic subscription and one million POIs are included. Pricing for the 1425 is 279 euros.
