For most of us getting up early to go to work isn’t a lot of fun. Waking up is especially bad when what you wake up to is the sound of a beeping alarm or bad talk shows on local radio. Memorex announced a new alarm clock today designed for the iPod that can wake you up to your own music.

The Memorex iWake clock Radio for the iPod is available in three colors including blue, red, and purple. The clock has an integrated iPod dock and AM/FM radio as well. The clock uses a white backlit LCD and features snooze.

Memorex provides a wireless remote that allows you to control your music from across the room as well. The clock retails for $79.99. "You need an alarm clock to help you get out of bed, but it's also a key element of your bedroom space and interior design," said Carla Pihowich, Memorex brand manager, Imation Corp. "The Memorex iWake clock radio, now in blue, purple and red metallic finishes, is not only an ideal complement to home decor, it also functions as a versatile alarm clock. The iWake connects consumers to their favorite music and offers another way for consumers to enjoy their iPod -- all in a chic design."
