A report from Solutions Research Group published today called the Women and Digital Lifestyles report says that women are now ahead of men in activities like streaming network TV, DVR use, and casual gaming.
The report shows that more women stream network TV shows form TV sites than men with 15% of women surveyed last month saying they did compared to 11% of men. The report also claims that women are more enthusiastic about DVRs than men and use them more often (9.3 times per week compared to 8.3 times per week). Also 70% of women say they played a PC game last month vs. 69% of men. If my wife is any indicator, the reason for the avid DVR use and show streaming by women is simply—soap operas.
