Mitsubishi Announces WL6700U WXGA Projector

Mitsubishi announced a new projector called the WL6700U boasting a brightness of 5000 ANSI lumens and a WXGA resolution of 1366 x 800. According to Mitsubishi the projector is aimed at commercial, home theater, and education installations.

The contrast ratio for the projector is 1000:1 and it uses three 1.2-inch 3LCD inorganic panels. The projector comes with a white cabinet and has a DVI connector for connecting to components and computers.

"Our new WL6700U fits a perfect niche for those who need high brightness and wide format imaging," said Wayne Kozuki, product manager, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Presentation Products Division. The projector is able to create side-by-side images for presentations. The projector sounds good until you hear the price-- $9995.
