Dieceland plans to bring a disposable cell-phone (the phone-card-phone) to the US market this year. It supposed to retail for 10USD with 60 minutes of talktime. After you used it up you toss it. It is made from recycled paper and a flexible circuit material. It has no display. The company also plans to sell disposable Notebooks for around 20USD in the future.

Mitsubishi and Microsoft announce the Trium Mondo PocketPC GPRS/GSM Phone. Its a full Windows CE PDA running on a 166MHz processor. GPRS will allow permanent secure connection to the Internet. Launch date is not set. Guess it will be first launched in Europe. I dont know how far away GPRS is in the USA. As far as i know Europe already has some GPRS networks up.
