Sony has announced that it has officially launched its new Sony Entertainment Network online store in the United States. The store is also launching in Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Previously, the store was only available in certain parts of Europe.
The new store has rich product pages making it easy for users to browse the store's catalog, which offers millions of pieces of game content including downloadable games, add-ons, and themes. The store also offers movies and TV shows. The store can be shopped using the PS3 or via the web interface a computer.
Content purchased via computers will be added to the My Download area on the PS3 and can be watched directly on the computer via a special media player. The store also supports purchases and shopping via Sony Xperia Android-powered smartphones and tablets.
