Jeff Gordon Prank for Pepsi Max was Staged?

Pepsi hired race car driver Jeff Gordon for a prank video. The story goes like this: Jeff Gordon and Pepsi MAX go to a car dealership where a disguised Jeff Gordon takes an unsuspecting car salesman on the test drive of his life. So far so good. The video is hilarious to watch and has already over 7 million views since its release yesterday.

When I watched the video yesterday it already did not feel right. The prank was too tough on the guy. Pepsi would have to make sure to check the chubby guy's medicals before the prank as this guy could suffer a heart attack any minute.

Good thing it was not real. Jalopnik (Via Auto Balla) has a good report up detailing all the facts that lead to the conclusion that the video is fake. The site also got in contact to a production crew member who confirmed that the entire video is staged.
