Acer Aspire R7 Windows 8 notebook hybrid announced
At a press event in New York earlier today, Taiwanese consumer electronics giant, Acer, took the wraps off its latest notebook hybrid dubbed as the Aspire R7. Acer says that the R7 is designed to create the best touch and type experience for notebook users. Featuring a repositioned keyboard and a high-definition touch screen, the R7 uses an “Ezel Hinge” that allows the device to flip, reverse, lie flat, or float.
It sports a 5.6-inch Full HDtouch screendisplay with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and it's running Windows 8. Under the hood is an Intel Core i5processor, 6GB of memory, and a 500GBhard drive or a 24GB SSD. There's also a full-size backlit keyboard, which is also removable. Users can select between four different modes: Ezel mode, notebook mode, display mode, and pad mode. The Aspire R7 will be available via Best Buy for $999.99 beginning May 17th.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
