A legend retires. Sir Alex Ferguson retires as manager of Manchester United.

71-year-old Sir Alex Ferguson calls it quits and retires as manager of Manchester United. He was 27 years manger of the soccer club. 

"To the fans, thank you. The support you have provided over the years has been truly humbling. It has been an honor and an enormous privilege to have had the opportunity to lead your club and I have treasured my time as manager of Manchester United," Sir Ferguson said in a statement released today.
