Google’s new gaming engine update for Android is leaked ahead of Google Developers I/O 2013 conference. The gaming engine has many enhancements and added more social features than before. Google updates always keep in limelight. A public version of leaked file is not available right now. The current gaming engine is v3.0.27 and next big thing is v3.1 with more friendly functions.
Google Play Services supports social features also. During game, users can see their profile updates, notifications and reply them without leaving the gaming zone. Now you will not distract whether you are missing some important notification or not. Google provides syncing features for its other services like Calendar, Gmail etc., gamers would also enjoy this feature now onward .
When you will install the update, game controllers will be dropped on Android home screen. These icy type badges will give access to other features. The new tiny icon on the lower right corner “ic_badge_play_powered.png” is introduced to give branding. If you tap, it will pop up and notify about being powered by Google as reported by Android Police .
Advanced multi-player gaming features are introduced like Invite and Matchmaking. Google cloud features hosted with new update are used to fulfill these features. For multi-player experience, your opponent will be automatically picked according to your skill set and previous gaming history. The maximum number of players is different for each game.
Chat is enabled among players. They can join a room or invite another player for chat or game. When you send invitation to someone, it becomes a notification and reminds till you view it. This is just like Facebook Invites process. It is good to play game but being aware of your position among others is exciting. A leaderboard is also introduced which gives certain badges to winner of game and they can be shared on Google+ with friends and family.
Google’s new gaming engine update adds cloud support features. All of your game data is stored on latest servers. Game experts say that storing game position also on cloud sorts the company led in gaming technology.
Developers I/O 13 is starting on Wednesday and it will be launched officially. It is a teaser before full boomed show. There may other major updates and modifications which will be introduced on I/O 13 in front of 6,000 developers and millions via live streaming.
