If the rumors from beginning of the year would have turned out to be true we would be holding iPad mini 2 tablets in our hands by now. The new iPad mini 2 with Retina display is a sure bet and has been predicted to be released by summer. Now Digitimes reports that the new iPad mini 2 will be released end of the year just in time for Christmas.
The new iPad 5 with 9.7-inch screen would already be released in September. The reason for this release schedule might be supply issues or Apple does not want the iPad mini 2 impact iPad 5 sales.
The new iPad 5 will have a new design, smaller bezel and will be 20 to 30% lighter according to the report.
