World War Z Gets Sequel Amidst Box Office Success

World War Z is an apocalyptic horror film directed by Marc Forster and set to be one of the summer's biggest blockbusters. World War Z is based on the 2006 novel of the same name by Max Brooks.

Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, a retired U.N. employee who travels the planet to find a way to stop the zombie pandemic that is whipping out the world. As with most action summer blockbusters World War Z reviews are mixed. It is you that will decide if World War Z is a hit or a bust. Man of Steel also got mixed reviews and now it had the biggest June opening ever last weekend.

According to The Hollywood Reporter , World War Z made $111.8 in the global box office. This is good enough for Paramount to start making a World War Z sequel. It was intended to be a trilogy from the beginning.
