Microsoft is supposed to announce a major reorganization on Thursday reports AllThingsD. Sources close to the situation say that Steve Ballmer is set to announce drastic changes. Microsoft wants to create something they call "Functional Chorence." It is about creating a structure around software and devices in consumer and business units. Steve Ballmer is supposedly getting advice from Alan Mulally, CEO of Ford to help with the reorganization.
Microsoft has stabilized, but needs to start running faster to create new momentum in sectors it is not getting traction like the mobile device space and Bing.
More details about the Microsoft reorganization plans and appointed executives can be found in this report on AllThingsD.
