Microsoft Bing Expands Autosuggest Categories

Bing has updated its Autosuggest function to more closely match the users’ suggestions. In fact, it has beautifully changed this feature by adding new categories like movies, albums, places, brands and many more to better serve the customers’ needs.

If you are struggling with search page results on the Internet, it might be your own fault. Nevertheless, keeping the dictum in mind that “the customer is always right”, Microsoft recently changed the format on its Bing search. The people Autosuggest function on it allows users to find the content they are searching for in a jiffy. The whole concept is one of weeding out errors by lending access to more specific results. Once you enter the command, a number of options come up in thumbnail sketch form.

The categories include brands, movies, albums, places, software, sport teams, animal species and more. And you get to select the one that most resembles what you are looking for. By adding more info in the search engine slot box you can micromanage the end result. It is basically a matter of fine tuning.

The expansion of Autosuggest has worked wonders for the seekers of lost information. Whether you want to know about a person, place, animal or thing, the Autosuggest function is there for you. For example the word “pitbull” would yield two results: one of them being the ferocious dog known for its violent behavior; the other is the rapper and pop star with the staccato delivery lines. The background technology in this wonderful search device is termed Satori.

Bing even reformed its photo filtering options. Before this, Bing featured human beings and celebrities only in its Autosuggest feature. But today it includes much more. It will be an experience in itself for eager users everywhere.
