The Peak+ is out for preorders. It is a smooth and smart model that is a vast improvement over the former Peak. The Random Access Memory has been upsized to 1 GB. This takes its way beyond its older Peak and Keon cousins. However, the 4.3 inch High Definition display screen is pretty much the same. The Central Processing Unit is a 1.2 Gigahertz dual core Snapdragon chip. As for the storage capacity it amounts to 4 GB. It sports an 8 megapixel reverse view camera as well as a 2 megapixel one on the front. The battery meanwhile is the same as the original Peak. The Firefox OS 1.1 it features leads to fewer viruses and super-quick boot duration. Then there’s the cloud storage which goes all the way up to 25 GB.

The Spanish Geeksphone seems to have come up with quite a macho mechanism. While it is not exactly high class, it does cater to some emerging markets. Here it is showing a lot of promise to sell like hot cakes. The Peak+ is essentially a soup up version of the previous models by Geeksphone. Peak+ preorder price of is set at €149/$196. Geeksphone is in competition with other companies such as Telefonica and Alcatel. The extent to which the Peak+ will help the Big “G” in grabbing the smart phone market in Spain as well as the rest of Europe remains to be seen.
