Virgin Mobile announced today the lineup for their free music festival FreeFest. On Saturday, September 21 Vampire Weekend, The Avett Brothers, Pretty Lights, Robin Thicke, MGM T, Kaskade and a dozen more will play the largest annual free music event in the United States.

Virgin Mobile will again host the largest free music event this year. Today the mobile carrier revealed the line-up for the Virgin Mobile FreeFest presented by Samsung. Virgin Mobile FreeFest will feature on the Main Stages: Vampire Weekend, The Avett Brothers, Pretty Lights, Robin Thicke, MGMT, Kaskade, City and Colour, Icona Pop, CHVRCHES, The Knocks, Black Joe Lewis, Sky Ferreira and Little Green Cars. The Dance Forest will feature Madeon, Gareth Emery, Washed Out, Manufactured Superstars, Conogorock, TJR and Ghost Beach.

The lineup for the 2013 Virgin Mobile FreeFest presented by Samsung was revealed on a wall mural at The Sasha Bruce RE*Generation House homeless youth shelter in Washington, D.C., the primary beneficiary of this year's proceeds.

Tickets to the 2013 Virgin Mobile FreeFest go "On Free" to the public at noon (EDT) Friday, August 9th via ticketfly.com. Virgin Mobile customers, prior Virgin Mobile Festival ticket buyers, and Virgin Mobile Facebook friends and Twitter followers will get special notification of the presale, which will be held at noon (EDT) Thursday, August 8th.

Last year Virgin Mobile FreeFest's free tickets were once again scooped up in just minutes, and 50,000 people attended. In keeping with the "free" mantra, Ticketfly is waiving all service charges on free tickets for fans who pick them up at Merriweather Post Pavilion or the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., or print their tickets at home. The Festival will take place September 21 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. Gates open at 11AM. Show ends at 10PM.
