Microsoft restricts access to some latest Xbox One features for premium subscribers only. DVR feature (records and shares video and screen) along with Skype video calling, OneGuide TV and others can only be available with annual $59.99 Xbox Live Gold Subscription.
Microsoft is not providing access to all latest features with $499 Xbox One console. The Xbox Live Gold members have to pay $59.99 annual subscription fee to access some latest online features of Xbox that includes the DVR system access of this new game too. This DVR feature allows gamers to share and record their video and screen. Other limited access features include Skype video calling and the OneGuide TV programming guide. These features will now be available with only Xbox Live Gold subscription. Microsoft already applied such restrictions for Xbox 360 users too in past where premium Live Gold subscribers can only enjoy online multiplayer game modes and online video services.
