Android fans eagerly waiting for Samsung's next-generation Galaxy Note "phablet" will be thrilled to know that it could arrive with a 3450mAh cell battery on its back. A source who allegedly saw engineering samples of the device told mobile-focused site, PhoneArena, that it will feature a 3450mAh battery inside.

While it isn't much of a surprise, considering that Samsung has consistently improved the battery life of its flagship Galaxy Note phablets, this is still good news, especially for those who are looking for a high-end phone with a huge juice pack. But keep your excitements to yourselves, as this is still a rumor.

It's worth noting that the first-generation Galaxy Note had a 2500mAh battery, while the current Galaxy Note 2 sports a 3100 mAh battery. So, by all means, a 3450mAh battery makes sense.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to launch next month. Purported features include a 5.7-inch display, a 3GB RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and Android 4.3.
