Sony has announced last year that 12GB flash-based PlayStation 3 will not be launched in North America but did vice-versa. As $199.99 12GB PS3 is in-stock of Canada's Future Shop, also visible in US Kmart stockroom and many other stock keepers of both countries are confirming to get the device.
Many tech giants in past have taken a 180 degree turn on their decisions, so did Sony now. As the tech giant had announced previously that it will not launch 12GB flash PS3 in North America. After launching 12GB flash-based PlayStation 3 in Europe and Hong Kong in September 2012, Sony US Marketing VP of Computer Entertainment told Engadget that the company is not going to launch this smaller 12GB flash drive for North American digital consumers.

The above image reveals that 12GB PlayStation 3 flash unit is present on US Kmart stockroom but now with "do not sell until" label. Most probably it will be available for sale on August 18th, the rumored sale date of the device for US and Canada. Previous rumors also suggested that 500GB PS3 with Grand Theft Auto V will be available for $70 on August 18th. But Canada's Future Shop listings jumped ahead as now showing a $199.99 priced 12GB flash-equipped PS3. Many other stock keepers are also confirming about the device. Just 4 more days are left to clearly know that who else will have the flash-based PS3.
