Boston Dynamics has now introduced it all new Cheetah-based four-legged robot called WildCat that can run on a speed of 16mph on flat surface.
Boston Dynamics shows out its all new four-legged robot called WildCat. This robot is not yet developed but Boston Dynamics has posted a video of its prototype.

This WildCat robot it based on the company's fastest "Cheetah" robot which holds a world record too. Cheetah can run as fast as 28 miles per hour on a on a treadmill.
But WildCat is developed to run on all type of surfaces. The first YouTube video of WildCat shows it running at a speed of 16 miles per hour on flat surface using bounding and galloping gaits.
This is the fastest speed of WildCat so far. DARPA's M3 program provides funds to Boston Dynamics for the development of WildCat robot.
