Just as we were about to think that Apple will not be launching next-generation iPad tablets this year, a new report from AllThingsD claims that the Cupertino-based technology company will be holding an invitation-only event on October 22, a Tuesday.
According to John Paczkowski of AllThingsD, the main agenda of the event will be updates to Apple's iPad tablets, particularly a fifth-generation iPad tablet and a second-generation iPad mini. Paczkowski claims that the iPad 5 will be lighter, thinner, and will sport a better camera as well as Apple's A7 processor. The iPad mini 2, on the other hand, will allegedly feature a Retina display and an A7 chip as well.
However, a Touch ID feature on the tablets isn't clear. Apple could also unveil a new Mac Pro. The publication speculated that the event will take place at the California Theatre in San Jose, California - the place where the first iPad mini was unwrapped.
