Rumor has it that Sony Incorporation is already working on the Android 4.4 update for their Xperia Z1 smartphone.

According to the latest bit of a rumor, the upcoming Android 4.4 update named KitKat will be released for Sony’s devices in November 7. The update will then eventually get released for other devices –such as the Xperia Z and Xperia Z Ultra – at an unknown date.

The upcoming Android 4.4 KitKat update was announced by Google Inc. recently and anyone knows very little about it as of now, other than its name. That’s why, it's heartening to see that Sony Inc. has already begun their work on it and they will be releasing it as early as next month, if the rumors are true.

If we take a look at the new Xperia Z1 smart phone, it’s not that much hard to understand that it is a stunning phone with a powerful configuration. It has got 2 GB of RAM, Powerful Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset, Adreno 330 GPU, and powerful Quad-core 2.2 GHz Krait 400 CPU. It runs smoothly now on Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean). But when it gets the latest v4.4 update, users are going to have a different experience! And if the rumors are true, Xperia Z1 is going to be the first Android smart phone to get the taste of v4.4 KitKat.

Xperia Z1 has also got a Non Removable Li-ion 3000 mAh battery, and ANT+ support. It has a TV-out port via MHL A/V link Active noise cancellation with a dedicated mic that makes sound recording clearer than ever. It has a 20.7 MP auto focus enabled camera – giving users the pleasure of geo tag, panorama, touch focus, face detection, etc. A 2MP front camera supports 1080p video recording @30fps and users can get clear and stunning images from both cameras.

Overall, Xperia Z1 is a great phone and that why we can expect for it to get Android v4.4 KitKat before any other phone. Looking forward to Sony and Google now to see what happens next!
